Sectional model; Component model

Scale: Unknown. Model of a section of hull with a porthole made entirely in wood with metal and glass fittings and stained and polished. The exterior of the hull is painted black and the section faces, inboard hull and deck pledges are stained and varnished natural wood. The section of hull enclosing the porthole can be removed and is secured to the model by a forked, hinged rod and a nut and bolt at the other end. The inboard section of the model is complete with a pair of deck beams, supported by iron hanging knees, on top of which is six sections of deck planking and a moulded spirkiting timber. The model is displayed on a rectangular wooden baseboard with rounded edges and bun feet. Labels read '13', '4', 'Van'R'D Room E No.7 Case', '1920-290-G' and 'model fittings tube scuttles [...]'.
