Sectional model; Stern model; Waterline model
Scale: Unknown. A model depicting the port side of an elliptical stern in frame, for a warship. The model is made entirely in wood and painted in realistic colours. The exterior hull shows the frames which have been grained to simulate wood, and their voids painted black. Three gun ports on the port side poop deck are shown and three complete gun ports on the port side gun deck are shown, together with a door.
The inboard hull is painted green with a painted ochre rail to denote the position of the poop deck. The gun deck is painted cream and the stern timbers are indicated in dark brown paint.
SLR2234 depicts the completed starboard side of stern of the same vessel, and the two models can be joined together using a pair of hooks and eyes fixed to the gun deck.
