Service vessel; Minesweeper

Scale: Unknown. A model depicting stern of a minesweeper with the sweep table rigged and in use. The model comprises a box-like structure, open at the top and port side from which the model is viewed. The bottom of the ‘box’ depicts the sea bed and a waterline is depicted by a clear sheet of Perspex into which the stern section of the minesweeper is set. Inset into the box are lozenge-shaped ‘windows’ below the waterline, one each in the foremost and rearmost sides and two in the port side of the box. Suspended between the two sections, part of which is set on the sea bed are various items of minesweeping equipment. Fittings on the stern section include a drum winch, two propellers and two rudders. The section is painted light grey. The model is annotated on a rail positioned along the port longitudinal side from which the model is viewed.
