Scale: 1:5. Model of a carronade on an elevating bed mounted on a section of ship's side, made in metal and wood and painted in realistic colours. The carronade is short with a large bore and cast in a single piece of metal. The carronade is mounted on a slide carriage made of wood and stained black. The carriage has four fixed rings and stepped sides. The slide carriage can be moved back and forth on a rectangular carriage, the front end of which rests in a niche cut into the bottom edge of the gunport. The rear end of the carriage has a pair of wooden trucks to which are attached a pair of ratchets that can be used to raise and lower the carriages elevation. The gun is attached to the ship's side with a single rope tackle. The gundeck is painted black with cream edges. The ship's side is painted black with a cream stripe along the gundeck and there is a single gunport with a rounded top and no lid.
