Ordnance model; Gun model

Scale: 1:10. Instructional model of a gun on a land service or garrison carriage. The gun has been cast in iron and has a small bore relative to its length. The shape of the gun tapers so that the back of the gun has a large diameter compared with the front. The carriage on which it is mounted is made from wood and contains four ring bolts, two of which have been used to secure the gun to the carriage with a length of rope. The carriage has four iron trucks. The front two are larger than the rear two and have a correspondingly smaller axle. The trucks are secured to the axles with iron retaining pins.
