Ordnance model; Gun model

Scale: 1:24. Instructional model of a quick firing gun mounted on a field carriage. The gun and its mounting have been made entirely of brass, the barrel of which has been turned and its fixtures and equipment riveted or bolted on. The breech has been finely modelled and appears to open. The mechanism for raising and lowering the elevation also works. The mounting sits on an elongated mahogany frame which has a large brass plate at the point where the carriage rests on the ground. Towards the front of the frame there is a pair of large spoked and riveted wheels. A pair of brass chocks is secured with chains to the rear of the frame.
