Engine model

Scale: Unknown. Working model of a steam engine made of brass and steel and housed in a fitted travelling box. The model is incomplete and various parts accompany it. The bed of the model is a Bakelite baseboard, black with a bevelled edge, and with an aperture in the centre of one of the long edges, which may be for supplying steam. The model has a main central section which is a tapering brass cylinder and which has a funnel that is kept with the other fittings in a metal box. There are also two brass cylinders, one of which contains a number of items unrelated to the model, together with a quantity of wadding.

Made at Armours shop, HMS Pembroke
