Ordnance model; Gun model
Scale: 1:18. A working model of a breech loading 4.7 inch naval field gun with field carriage. The whole model has been made from solid brass both turned and riveted construction, and lacquered overall. Many of gun's components are in working order, in particular the elevation of the barrel, the breech mechanism, the gun sight and the rear wheel for manoeuvring the carriage. The whole model is mounted loose on a wooden baseboard within an original wooden glazed display case.
