Component model; Door
Scale: 1:6. A model of a vertical-sliding watertight door made entirely in metal and partly painted. The section of bulkhead is shown, painted cream on one side and white the other and is fixed to a rectangular metal base plate and supported by two metal rods. Part of the gearing mechanism for opening the door is shown, but some components are missing. A six-spoke brass wheel can be turned using its handle and is linked to the mechanism that raises the door. The door is rectangular-shaped, currently jammed in a half open position. There is a second set of cogs and gears whose purpose is not known. On brass plate bolted to compartment is inscribed "Gear showing how door may be opened or closed from either side of the bulkhead" and "Model of quick closing vertical sliding WT door scale 2 inch-1 Foot".
