Warship; Cargo vessel; Passenger/cargo vessel; Passenger vessel(1913-1943)

Scale: various. A collection of waterline recognition models forming a set of Royal Navy and merchant vessels dating from the First World War to the Second World War. In the main, the collection comprises warship recognition models, though there are passenger vessels and submarines. Some of them are unfinished, which is interesting as we can see exactly how they are constructed. By looking at the undersides of some of the models, we can see that the maker has used cigar boxes, the brand names of which were poker-worked onto the lids. Among this collection are some commercially-made recognition models, die-cast in metal.
