Cargo vessel; Patamar

Scale: Unknown. A model of a patamar from Bombay, India, used as a coastal trading vessel, made entirely of wood and varnished. Plank on frame hull, with screw fixings to the hull planking. There is a rigged single mast with lateen sail. The model is decked forward and aft. The rudder is secured without pintles, in channel down stern post. The bulwarks have been sewn, using cross stitching, to the main hull. The model is equipped with a boat, anchor, oar, barrel, mast, spars, sails, and other fittings. The fittings also include a small hatch cover at the stern for storage and a five-armed grapnel at the bow, made in copper and painted black.
