Medical supplies belonging to Captain James William Hammill OBE, MBE (1905-1974). Worked for the Stephenson Clarke Line during the Second World War as master of 'SS Lieutenant Robert Mary'. Includes: a roll of white gauze, 10 packets of B.P.C. Lint, Picric dressing for burns (large medium size), 1 box of BPC parffin guaze dressing, 1 packet of 'sanoid' sterilized absorbant gauze (small dressing size', 1 triangular bandage, 4 packets of first field dressing (one half used), one Admiralty shell dressing, 2 tourniquets, pouch containing 5 surgical instruments and two odd dressings.
