Fishing vessel; Kajjik

Scale: Unknown. Model of a Maltese fishing boat made entirely in wood. The hull is painted in bright colours, light and dark green, yellow, white, red and brown. There is a gold decoration around the gunwales and a gold insignia at the bow. Oculi have been painted on two red triangles on either side of the bow. The simple rudder is fitted with a tiller arm. the deck is covered with a fine gauze material on which is placed a pair of white painted paddles and three fish. The model is mounted on a pair of brown painted crutches which are fixed to a decoratively shaped baseboard which is inscribed "Malta" and "Kajjik" twice. On port and starboard bows, "F.16" and "S. Pawl". The baseboard is edged with white and red lines.
