Passenger/cargo vessel; Dghajsa tal-latini

Scale: Not to scale. A model of a Maltese dghaisa tal-latini made in wood. The hull is brightly painted in yellow, green, dark blue, white, red, brown and gold. A gold-painted mermaid and oculus are painted on the port and starboard bows. There is gold-painted decoration which includes the name "S. Guzepp" on a brown panel running the length of the vessel on port and starboard sides. The two masts each has a lateen sail set and there is a jib. The long 'bowsprit' extends the length of the vessel. The bulwarks have red and yellow-painted panels and one panel on either side is painted black and marked "F.74". The hull shape is double-ended with a high bow and two thurle pins amidships. The interior hull is painted a uniform bright green. The model is displayed on a pair of decoratively shaped crutches, painted brown, attached to an oval baseboard marked "Dghajsa Tal-Latini" twice, and "Malta" twice. The baseboard is also brown with white and red edging.
