Woolwork picture
A woolwork picture depicting a schooner under sail at sea, part of a coast seen to the left. The vessel is wearing a Red Ensign and has a clipper bow. A red swallow-tailed house flag with a white saltire is shown at the main. The sky is a very faded blue with thin white clouds. The picture is embroidered in long and short stitch, with rigging in button thread; very long stitches are used on the sails. It is mounted in a maple frame.
