Dry card compass

Bowl-Brass with copper lining set in brass gimbals. Weighted at base. Black lubber line painted on inside of bowl. Glass has pivot location stud.
Card-Mica covered with paper. Black with white markings graduated to 32 points. Jewelled brass pivot cap. Dia. 4" (10.1cm)
Needle-Four edge bar magnets attached to brass ring secured to underside of card. Lengths 2 x 3.75" (9.5cm), 2 x 2.5" (6.4cm).
Pivot-Steel tipped brass needle set in brass mount attached to base of bowl.
