Freemason's apron belonging to Lt George Monk RN d. 1858. Handsewn cotton, with curved bottom, semi-circular flap at top covered in off-white silk. Fringe round edge of apron and flap. Border of pink silk ribbon sewn onto wider border of mauve silk. Silver wire applique motifs: compasses on flap and columned doorway, sewn onto pink silk on lower section, the flap covering top of arch.
