Dry card compass

Bowl-Brass, black painted lubber line. Weighted at base. Brass verge ring and glass with location stud at centre for azimuth mirror. Other side of stud has cup into which pivot of card fits.
Card-8" Kelvin light dry card. White with black markings graduated to 1/4 points and quadrantally in degrees. Paper rim attached to centre ring, into which jewelled cap fits, by radiating threads.
Needles-Six parallel needles of pin type suspended from card. Lengths 2 x 3"; 2 x 2.75; 2 x 2.25"
Pivot-Steel spike in brass mounting secured to base of bowl.
In original carrying case 10.752 x 11" (27.3 x 27.9cm)
