Metal frame. Mirror system similar to that of sextant. For observing horizontal sextant angles.
Horizon mirror-Mounted on brackets, has perpendicular adjustment screw. Height 3.25" (8.4cm).
Index mirror-Mounted on vertical column with adjustment screws for perpendicular and horizontal movement. Mounted to rotate in azimuth. Height 5" (12.8cm)
Brass base graduated to P (Port) 0-150 degs and S (Starboard) 0-150 degs, fitted with tangent clamp and micrometer graduated 0-10 degrees in both directions (Port and Starboard).
