Dry compass

Bowl: Brass with (aluminium?) glazed top and bottom. Two scales, upper and lower both marked to 360 degrees. Magnetic north arrow at 346 deg on upper scale. Lubber line running 0 - 180 deg across lower scale. Scales are open 'washer type' circles running around edge of compass. NSEW points marked on upper scale, fixed N above upper scale. Upper scale is moved by an external arm.
Card: No card.
Needle: Elongated diamond white and blue, small hole in blue arm (north pointing). Length 2.5" (6.4 cm)
Pivot: Steel spike out of brass holder. Jewelled pivot cap.
Arm: External moveable arm joined in centre of compass has reading line for lower scale. Arm can move in azimuth and is marked with two scales, i. 1 - 10K, ii. 1 - 8K. Length of arm 6.0" (15.2 cm)
