Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve uniform: pattern 1951
Lieutenant-Commander's monkey jacket. The buttons have a rope twist edge. Within a raised circular border on a smooth background is a post-1901 crown above a fouled anchor with the rope appearing from under the left-hand side of the stock, under the N which is on the shank and then under the right-hand arm. To the left of the left-hand side of the stock is the letter R, on the shank is the letter N and to the right of the right-hand stock is the letter V.
