Women's Royal Naval Service uniform: pattern 1953
WRNS Chief Officer's overcoat in navy blue wool, lined. Double-breasted with twelve gilt buttons, each with a crown over a foul anchor, coat buttons through to the throat. Two side pockets with flaps. Back vent with one button. Belt across the back of the waist secured by two gilt buttons. Chief officer's shoulder straps with gilt button on each.
