Royal Marines uniform: pattern 1814-27
Arm badge, Colour-Sergeant Royal Marines. Red cloth, embroidered in silver wire and silk (backed with stiffened linen) with a design showing (top to bottom) St Edward's Crown, Union Flag on flag staff, crossed swords, foul anchor and a chevron. Belonged to Colour Sergeant Royal Marines Robert Griffin (1785 - 1864).
