Boat's liquid compass

Bowl: A brass bowl painted black. It has an expansion chamber and filler plug and is heavily weighted at the base. The inside is white and has a black lubber spike.

Card: A mica card painted white with black markings graduated to quarter points. Reduced diameter of 4" (10.2 cm)

Needle: Unsighted.

Pivot: Unsighted.

Binnacle: A brass binnacle with a removable hood. The hood has a fixed window and an oil lamp on the side. The gimbals are athwartships and the binnacle is open at the base, there ia a flange with four holes. There is a gimbal and compass bowl stop mechanism on the side. Diameter 8" (20.3 cm)
