Liquid compass for use in airships
Bowl: Black painted brass, two filler plugs at side, expansion chamber at base. Inside of bowl painted white. Luninous glass lubber line projecting from fore side of bowl. Mounted in a coiled wire gimbal ring whcih is attached to a brass bracket.
Card: Diameter 5.0" (12.7cm) white painted mica with black markings. Graduated to 360 degrees. White painted float at centre. Luminous glass pointers are mounted on a moveable cross-bar across the diameter of card, adjustable by means of a plunger fitted in centre of verge glass.
Needle: Unsighted
