Liquid compass
Bowl: Black painted brass, filler plug at side, expansion chamber at base. Inside of bowl painted white. The lubber point is of unusual shape, this being to permit the reading of an adjustable graduated ring which is operated by a screw in the verge ring. This ring is graduated to 360 degs and carries a luninous auxilliary lubber point. Mounted in brass gimbal ring. Diameter 8.25" in a black painted dwarf binnacle, diameter 9.25" in the lid of which is fitted a socket for carrying an electric lamp, an oval viewing window is situated at afterside of hood.
Card: Mica (?) White with black markings, graduated to 360 degs and carrying a luminous pointer at the N point. At centre of card is a white painted float dome. Diameter 5.0"
Needle: Unsighted, possibly two cylindrical mounted one either side of float.
Pivot: Unsighted, possibly inverted type.
