Airship pelorus
A bearing plate or pelorus for use in airships. A copy of one taken from a Zeppelin brought down. The whole made in alloy.
Revolving dial: Graduated to 360 degrees fitted with two screws for clamping dial to base plate, base plate has two two pointers whcih indicate course set on revolving plate.
Sight vanes: Height 4.25" ( 12.1cm) Carried on rotatable cross bar, which also carries three parallel wires, attached to base plate and rotatable ring by a brass screw. The fore sight is fitted with a sliding bar carrying a dark shade and V sight at top. The other with a hinged dark reflector for taking sun bearings and sight thread and a ^ sight at top.
