Royal Naval pattern: 1867
Full dress trousers belonging to Staff Commander Walter W. Browne. The trousers are of superfine blue wool with bands of gold lace down each side, along the outside seam. The bottom of the leg is cut higher in the front and lower in the back. The trousers fasten with a button fly, which is reinforced with black glazed cotton, and fastens with five tin buttons that are painted black. The waist of the trousers is bound with black silk twill. The front and back of the trousers have buttons at the waist for braces. he pocket bags are of cream cotton twill.
