Royal Naval College Osborne uniform: pattern 1891
Waistcoat of a cadet, Royal Naval College, Osborne. It belonged to R. J. P. Eden who died at the college on 13 October 1909 after two terms. Navy blue thick wool serge backed with black silk. Single breasted with six buttons. On the right, two outside pockets, on the left, two inside pockets. Plain white lining. A black silk half belt attached to the back of the waistcoat with a buckle for adjustment. Domed gilt buttons with Tudor crowns over foul anchors. Printed on lining 'R. J. P. Eden'.
