Liquid compass
Bowl: Glazed. Held in outer bowl of white metal. White inside with black lubber line. Fill hole on side. Tripod attachment with holes for compensating magnets. Azimuth circle. White lubber line on outside of bowl.
Card: Thin strip, hollow centre with domed float with radial spokes. Eight damper arms attached to thin strip. White strip is graduated to four cardinal points and to 360 degrees.
Needle: Four needles in tubes slung beneath card.
Pivot: Unsighted
Azimuth Circle: Has locking device and spirit bubble level. Movable prism with hinged jet sun reflector and two filters. V and nipple line up.
