Liquid compass-"Courageous" type
Bowl: Brass painted grey. Held in white metal holder. Black on inside with metal lubber spike. Fill hole unsighted. Tripod attachment at base.
Card: Small white strip marked in black, graduated to 360 degrees and to four cardinal points. Eight damper arms. Black float at centre.
Needle: Two needles slung beneath card.
Pivot: Unsighted
Azimuth Circle: Has lock and spirit level. Prism and reflector mirror. wire lubber runs across glass. Has light bulb holder. Clips onto verge.
