Consists of a mahogony block to which is fixed a metal bearing plate. Graduated in degrees from 0-180 with green painted markings and from 0-180 with red painted markings. Two black painted lines run from 0-180 and from 90-90. A threaded pin is secured to centre of plate to accommodate bearing bar. A U-shaped bearing bar is housed in a recess in the edge of the block, and is retained by a butterfly nut.
