Coat
Thames waterman's coat belonging to Henry Hayes.
This coat and badge was won by Harry Hayes in the 1920 Doggett Race. The design of the coat is based on the working dress of 18th century Thames watermen. The silver arm badge has changed slightly in design over the centuries, but even today is decorated with the horse of the house of Hanover and the word ‘Liberty’.
