Bearing Plate
This is a solid brass plate graduated quadrantally in degrees and to 8 points. It has a moveable diameter which carries the hinged sights which can be locked up right by small levers. The back sight is a slit which has a moveable shade attached. There is a notch at the top. The fore sight is an open arch and thread. there is a screw at the centre of the plate.
