Arm badge. When combined with a Patrol Service Gunlayer badge it can be worn by a Patrol Service Gunnery Instructor, Gunlayer or Seaman Gunner.
When combined with the badge with an aeroplane on it and the applicable stars and crowns it can signify A Chief Petty Officer Photographer, 1st Class, Chief Petty Officer, Photographer, 2nd Class, Photographer, 3rd Class or a Photographer (Unqualified)

Separate letter badges were used between 1939 - 1949.
