Bearing plate

A heavy white metal ring graduated to 360 degrees on upper surface and edge. Fitted with single cross member which has the alidade pivoted at its centre. The alidade sights consist of two hinged vanes; fore sight is a frame with sighting thread, the other is a slit sight.
