Bearing plate

Bearing plate.

Consists of an aluminium plate with black markings, graduated to 360 degrees and to 1/4 points, which revolves about a centre pin. A lubber line is painted on a metal bracket secured to centre pin below card. An alidade with open sights (two shadow pins), and two pointers is fitted above the plate. Mounted in gimbals in a black painted metal frame.
