Armee Kompass I

Liquid compass.

Bowl: The bowl has a window at the front so that the vertical section of the card can be read. There is a black wire lubber mark here and also on the fore side of the bowl. The inside of the bowl is painted white. There is a filler plug at the side and an external expansion chamber at the base. The verge ring is graduated 0 - 360 by 5 degree markings in an anti-clockwise direction. There is a red painted course setter on the glass. An electric light is situated on the side of the bowl. The whole bowl is painted black and grey and set in a U shaped bracket . Lead seal is attached.

Card: A white painted metal card with graduations on the horizontal and verticl planes. The horizontal is graduated to the four cardinal points and 0 - 360 by 10 degree divisions. The vertical is graduated to the four cardinal points and 0 - 360 by 5 degree divisions.

Needle: The four needles, in two pairs, are set below the card.

Pivot: Unsighted
