Liquid overhead compass - aircraft. Attached on a wooden board with ACO0582.
Bowl: Brass painted grey. Glass cracked and highly discoloured. Securing nut at centre of glass. Held in overhead gimbals. Filler plug on side.
Card: Graduated to 360 degrees, this is mounted on a float which carries a jewelled cup, the latter engages on a pivot which rises from the centre of the verge glass.
Needle: Unsighted.
Pivot: Unsighted.
