- Crown above the aeroplane and a star and a P below, indicates a Chief Petty Officer (Photographer) 1st Class
- Crown above the aeroplane and a P below indicates a Chief Petty Officer (Photographer), or Chief Petty Officer (Photographer) 2nd class, or a Photographer, 1st Class.
.- Star above the aeroplane and the letter P below the aeroplance indicates a Rating Pilot (Under preliminary flying training) or a Photographer (unqualified).
