Button, R & J Craig
Button worn on the uniform of the shipping company R & J Craig of Glasgow. Gilt brass domed button with a rope twist outer border and raised inner border. The words ‘COUNTY LINE’ appear above a tricolour rectangular flag. The flag has three horizontal stripes: red on top (indicated by vertical shading), white in the centre (indicated by no shading) and blue on the bottom (indicated by horizontal shading). The white stripe contains a saltire (unsure of colour). Everything appears on lined ground.
On the reverse of the button the maker is inscribed – PAISLEY’S GLASGOW
