Button worn on the uniform of the shipping company Scottish Shire Line Limited (Turnball, Martin & Company). Gilt brass domed button with a rope twist outer border and raised inner border. A swallowtail flag with saltire (unsure of colour) appears on lined ground.
On the reverse of the button the maker is inscribed - PAISLEY’S GLASGOW
