Button, George Milne & Company (Inver Line)
Button worn on the uniform of the shipping company George Milne & Company (Inver Line). Gilt brass domed button with a rope twist outer border and raised inner border. The words “INVER LINE” appear above a rectangular red flag (indicated with vertical shading) with smaller white rectangle (indicated by no shading) and letter ‘M’ (probably blue but unsure of shading) enclosed. All on lined ground.
On the reverse of the button the maker is inscribed 'PAISLEY’S GLASGOW'.
