Course Corrector

Patent No.6573 1895 Consists of a silvered brass disc 7" (17.8cm) dia., graduated to 32 points by 1/4 points (E & W points transposed) mounted within a silvered brass ring 7.5" (19cm) dia. , 0-180-0 degs which can be set against a lubber line cut in the edge of framework in which disc and ring are mounted. At centre of disc is a brass locking knob and pivot point to accommodate a shadow pin or a sight vane consisting of a conical tube, with open sights above, carried at the top of a folding stem which carries a double-ended pointer at its lower end. Mounted in grey-painted brass gimbal ring 8.25" (22.2cm) dia. In wooden box with lid 10.5 x 10.5 x 8.75" (26.7 x 26.7 x 22.2cm).
