Button, Royal Naval uniform: pattern 1827-1834

Twenty-six buttons.
Seventeen buttons have a rope twist edge. Within a circular raised border on a lined background is a pre-1901 crown above a fouled anchor with the rope tied to the ring at the top, then under the right-hand stock , under the shank to the left, then over the shank to the right and disappears under the right arm. Commissioned officers.

Nine buttons have a twisted rope edge. Within a raised circular border on a lined background is a pre-1901 crown above a fouled anchor. The stock of the anchor slants down to the right. The rope is tied to the ring at the top, then goes over the right-hand stock, under the shank to the left, then over the shank to the right before disappearing under the right arm. Commissioned officers.
