Button, Royal Marines uniform: pattern 1767-76

Button. Flat. Rope twist edge. On a smooth background is a fouled anchor with the stock slanting downwards to the right. The rope is tied to the ring at the top, then goes under the right-hand stock, under the shank to the left, then back under the shank to the right, then back under the shank to the left and finishes under the left arm.
