Liquid compass and binnacle

Bowl- Black painted brass, filler plug at side, expansion chamber at base. Inside of bowl painted white, with black lubber line painted on side. Mounted in black painted brass gimbal ring, 8.25" (21cm) diameter in bowl of binnacle.
Card - Dia. 6" (15.3cm) Mica (?) painted white with black markings, graduated to 1/4 points and quadrantally in degs. attached to white painted float at centre.
Binnacle - Brass, dia. of bowl 9.5" (24.2cm) mounted on a short flared pillar on a square base. A chain box is fitted on either side of bowl. Hood of binnacle is fitted with a large glazed oval window, a hole at top 3" diameter, and two lamp holders, one on each side (lamps missing) but each holder is fitted with a brass cap 3.5" diameter.
