Two buttons worn on the uniform of the shipping company Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company (P&O). Domed white metal buttons with rope twist outer border and raised inner border. Crest of rayed sun with foul anchor below on lined ground.
On the reverse of the buttons the maker is inscribed 'BUTTONS LTD B’HAM' with their trademark of crossed swords.
