Scout car compass and binnacle - army

Bowl-Brass painted grey with white interior. A black lubber bracket. Filler hole on side and expansion chamber at base. A diameter bar supports the pivot mount. Set in binnacle.
Card- Mica. White with black markings graduated to four points and 0-360 degs. Black domed float at centre.
Binnacle- The metal binnacle is mounted on a cogged turntable which is itself on a metal plinth. Two arms come up from the plinth and these hold the corrector spheres. There is a "crown" type cover to the compass.
