Liquid compass and binnacle

Bowl-Dia.10.25" (26cm) Grey painted brass with glass bottom (bottom fitted with a spigot on which is fitted corrector magnets), filler plug at side of large annular bubble trap. Verge glass has a brass spigot to accommodate azimuth sight. Verge ring graduated to 360 degrees. Inside of bowl painted white with a black lubber line carried on a silvered plate mounted on a graduated scale attached to side of bowl.
Card-Dia.7.9" (20cm) white painted mica with black markings, graduated to 32 points and to 360 degs. with a second set of graduations 180 degs out of phase. Attached to large silvered float at centre.
Azimuth sight-Length 8.6" (22cm) grey painted brass. Consists of two parallel bars with pivot at centre. At one end there is a folding "Schmalcalder type" prism, at the other end an ope frame with sighting thread.
Binnacle-Dia.15.75" (40cm) grey painted brass with brass fittings. Fitted with a clinometer, Fliders Bar 24.75" (63cm). A door in side gives access to corrector magnets which consist of square cross-section, horizontal magnets travelling in clamps on a central tube.
Hood-Grey painted brass with a round glazed aperture with lid on one side, and another on opposite side.
